In this space, with psychologist Adriana Gioni and the People for People Network, you will discover resources and strategies to take care of your mental health, manage stress, and strengthen your resilience.
💬 Mental health is just as important as physical health. At VIA we know this — that’s why we create safe spaces to talk about what sometimes hurts in silence.
🧘 “Psychological Resources for Emotional Support” with psychologist Adriana Gioni, leader of our Soporte Entre Pares program — an open conversation about how to strengthen the mind and heart in times of change.
🌎 Migrating isn’t easy. The processes of adaptation, loneliness, grief, and uncertainty can affect our emotional wellbeing. In this session we share practical tools and psychological resources to care for your mental health, cultivate resilience, and learn to manage stress and anxiety that can arise along the migratory journey.
Emotional support resources are tools, spaces, or services designed to provide containment, listening, and guidance to people going through difficult moments or emotional crises. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), access to these supports significantly reduces symptoms of post-traumatic stress, anxiety, and depression in migrant and displaced populations.
Some of these resources include:
Psychological first aid.
Peer support groups.
Individual or community therapy.
Mental health helplines and services.
🫂 At VIA we believe that asking for help is an act of courage, and accompanying others with empathy can save lives.
